How to get register in Kalanjali?
Registration in Kalanjali is a very simple process. Just click on register on the home page and after entering some simple information you will be the registered member. Then a mail will be sent to your given e-mail ID with username.

How can I make sure no one else sees my Kalanjali pages?
Just click on the “Sign Out” link to sign out of Kalanjali’s personalized services. Signing out will allow you to change users and ensures that Kalanjali will ask for an user ID and password when someone visits Kalanjali. This way, no one will accidentally see your ‘Kalanjali’ pages.

How do I Update my account and profile details?
You can definitely update your account and profile. After sign in on right side of Kalanjali home page you will have an "Account Maintenance" link, where by clicking on it you can update your personal account and shipping information like name, address etc. and also you will be able to see the previous order information. In the same way below account maintenance "My Details" link is provided where on clicking you will find 'Edit' link where you can update your profile, images and even can change your password too.

What if I have forgotten my password?
If you are having trouble with your password or have forgotten it. Just click on forget password and enter your username and mail ID. After clicking on 'send password' immediately your password will be mailed to you.

How do I place an item in my cart?
Once you’ve found an item that interests you, just click the “Add to Cart” button. This button can be found on any item’s detail page, at the bottom. After you’ve finished adding items to your Shopping Cart, click the 'Go to my cart' icon to view the list of items ordered.

Can I change the quantity of the items ordered?
To increase the number of any product ordered, please change the value in the quantity box and Click “Update” to see your revised Grand Total.

How do I delete items from my cart?
It’s easy to delete an item from your Shopping Cart all you need to do is to click on the Delete Button for the corresponding item.

What happens if I exit after selecting the items without buying?
Shopping cart is the online cart and will be destroyed once the person logout. Where as wish list will be created/destroyed only by the member.

Click through the Product Categories: You will see the widest range of Handicrafts, Textiles & Home Décor Products with broad product categories on Kalanjali Home Page, so you can click on the broad/sub classification of your choice and then find essential information relevant to the product.

Search It with multiple options: Another way of finding products of your interest is the Search criteria, which again is on the home page. You will have to simply enter a term or two into the search box which will give an idea of the product name or details and click the Arrow button, and all the products matching your criteria will be displayed. You’ll be sure to find something you fancy.

With either of the approach, you will find essential information such as price, brief description, and an image about the product. For many products where you require a closer and more detailed look, you can view a larger image by clicking on the ‘Zoom’ link.

FAQ’s on Free and Discounted Shipping

This unique “Free & Discounted Shipping” scheme has been designed to promote Indian Handicrafts and Handcrafted Furniture. Most of the items being bulky attract high shipping charges, understanding this concern we are sharing as much shipping cost as possible. Though we have tried to offer 100% free shipping till the destination port but it may not be practically possible to share the complete charges hence we had clearly mentioned the amount of free shipping being offered in the product details of each and every product.

  All Bulk products under free shipping or discounted shipping mode are shipped through sea only. In special cases shipping by Air is also considered provided the difference in shipping cost, if any, is paid by the customer.

Under “Free & Discounted shipping”, shipping implies till the destination port only. 

  To get a clear picture of normal shipping charges and the discounted shipping value of your purchase; please select your complete merchandise and get into the normal shopping process in the site. At the end of the process, just before the payment, the site would give you a clear idea of the balance shipping charges, if any; need to be paid by you.

  All the purchases of Rs. 10,00,000 and above would be shipped free of cost by sea.

It may please be noted that no other discount would be applicable while the discount on shipping is being claimed.

Guidelines for Discounted shipping

Please note the CBM (volume of the Merchandise) displayed in the data of each product.

It can be assumed that for every purchase of Rs. 1.2 Lakhs, one CBM of shipping is offered free and in multiples thereof. For example on purchase of a sandal wood Ganesha of 0.5 CBM dimension, worth Rs. 2,40,000 you would get free shipping to the extent of 2 CBM. Hence you can add up other items to the extent of 1.5 CBM which would be shipped free of cost. It may be noted that monetary discount adjustments is not possible, this scheme has been specially created to promote Indian Handicrafts and Handcrafted furniture.

Some products may not qualify for free shipping on its own but when clubbed with other products, Discount on shipping can increase to a great extent.

On purchase of sofa sets or similar items like Deewan, you would get space in the packing of sofa. You can add some more items which fit into this slot. For your convenience the free space is mentioned in CBM (Eg: 0.8CBM of free space) in the product data, so that you can co-relate the products fitting into such space. They would not only get shipped free but would also increase your shipping discount.

For International Delivery...


Do you Deliver World Wide:  Most of the items in our site are delivered world wide, subject to acceptance of items by the customs of the importing countries. We ship them either by COURIER or SEA-CARGO, as per your choice, in case we fail to deliver due to reasons beyond our control, we shall cancel the order and intimate you accordingly.

How is my Order delivered to me:


Air-Cargo: Our logistics partners will attempt delivery of the items thrice. In case the delivery is not executed during these three attempts, due to non-availability of the recipient, or due to wrong address or premises being locked, the customer shall still be charged for the order. Please note that the delivery of the items will not be attempted on Sundays or on any public holidays due to non-availability of Courier Service.

Sea-Cargo: Our logistics partners will deliver the items to the port selected by you [from our list]. You would be intimated in advance regarding this.

For Domestic Delivery (within India)...
Our logistics partner would take care of the delivery with in India. In case there is no courier service to the address mentioned in the order or courier is not possible due to technical reasons and Government regulation, the order will be cancelled and the same will be intimated to you by E-mail.

What is the lead time for delivery: Orders from kalanjali are delivered any-where in the world through our logistic partners.

A. With in India:

i. Air cargo: 6 to 8 working days.

ii. Surface cargo: 1 to 2 weeks depending on the type and place of shipment. Lead time mentioned (for Air and Surface Cargo) is subsequent to provision of any requisite Forms as demanded by the State Authorities. Since you are legally obliged to provide the Forms, it would be solely your responsibility to do so. If you fail to provide the requisite Forms then the order will be cancelled and the same will be intimated to you by E-mail.

B. International:

i. Air cargo: 15 to 20 working days.

 ii. Sea cargo: 50 to 80 days.

We wish to get to the kind notice of the customers that artifacts require special kind of packaging and care, we take utmost care and make specific packing boxes for each and every item hence packing and delivery schedules for these items is normally more then the routine mechanical items. You may also note that above mentioned schedules are subject to immediate clearance of the items by the customs and other concern authorities. In case there is no courier service to the address mentioned in the order, the order will be cancelled and the same will be intimated to you by e-mail.

Are there any additional charges to be paid at the Destination Port (Sea Cargo):

   (a). For Container Load (Door Delivery): It may kindly be noted that in case of container load, all the charges are collected in advance for Door delivery, i.e., the container will be placed at the possible point nearest to the  Door, it has to be unloaded by the customer.

(b). For Container Load (Up to the Port only): We will be collecting container charges up to the port only (If shipping of container under “Free shipping category” then it’s implied to be free of charges up to the port only), It may kindly be noted that the charges incidental for shipment and ancillary, destuffing charges, if any, at destination are to be paid by you in addition. We cannot estimate the charges collected at destination port, hence please seek clarification from the port authorities and ascertain the charges before you pay. Customs clearance at the destination country has to be undertaken by you, we shall not be responsible for customs clearance at the destination country.

    (c). For less than Container Load (LCL): We will be collecting Freight, Insurance and packing charges for delivery up to the port only. It may kindly be noted that the charges incidental for shipment and ancillary, destuffing charges, if any, at destination are to be paid by you in addition. We cannot estimate the charges collected at destination port, hence please seek clarification from the port authorities and ascertain the charges before you pay. Customs clearance at the destination country has to be undertaken by you, we shall not be responsible for customs clearance at the destination country. 

  Any change in shipping charges due to factors beyond our control and any taxes and levies made as on the date of shipment has to be borne by you.

 Due to technical reasons we may not be able to ship to each and every port in the world.

  How do I cancel my order: Please note that cancellations have to be made within 24 hours after placing an order. You may kindly note that order cannot be cancelled once the shipment process has started from our end. 

 FAQ’S on Delivery Processing System

How is the Material Delivered:  Kalanjali takes stringent measures to ensure that the items delivered to you are in perfect condition. However, there is remote possibility that a wrong item is delivered to you, in such a case, we will replace the item at no extra cost, provided that the request for replacement or return of item is made within 48 hours from the time of receipt of item. There is also a remote possibility that the item may be damaged during transit, in such a case since the items are insured, you are advised to get in touch with the appraiser of the Insurance Company immediately with complete details of the damage (In case of International shipment). Please co-operate and furnish relevant documents demanded by the Insurance Company. As per our agreement with the Insurance company, you are supposed to be paid towards cost and shipment of the particular item. You may also try and convince them that even a small damage to an artifact makes the product useless since it has been brought for the beauty of the piece, which is lost once it is damaged.

How soon can you deliver: Our logistics partner would take care of the delivery within India (subject to availability of services) for more details please refer Delivery Information. In case there is no courier service to the address mentioned in the order, the order will be cancelled, and the same will be intimated to you by e-mail.

What if I gave a wrong address: if so, you would be charged a sum of Rs. 500/- as shipping handling charges for the wrong address, if delivery attempt has been made. Fresh delivery attempt would be made only after payment of this.

General information for Logistics

 Delivery proof required for all Sea cargo and specified cases in Air cargo.

To notify “Special Handling” for items which require, to be mentioned in item details column or fragility.

IMPORTANT: Most of the Handicraft items require special handling, many items that are extremely delicate over sized or weigh heavily are marked on their product detail pages as “require special handling”.

The shipping charges for these items are either indicated on their product detail pages or will be calculated for you at the last step of the purchase process (before you send us your order).

Please note that each shipment of these items required an adult signature upon delivery, once your order leaves our distribution centre, you will be contacted by the shipper to arrange a specific time for delivery.

CUSTOMS & IMPORT DUTIES INFORMATION:

  You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country.

Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country, you should contact your local customs office for further information.

You must also comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

GIFT ITEMS: The package is marked “GIFT” cost of the items is still stated on the customs form (due to customs obligations).

ARRIVAL OF ORDER: To find out when you will receive an item, you need to consider the availability of the items you are ordering as well as the shipping option you select.

The equation is: Largest item availability (lead time) + shipping time = Total delivery time.

  Normally most of the items on our site are available hence shipping time would be the normal delivery time. But if the order includes several items with different availabilities then the largest  availability time in the order + shipping time would be the total delivery time that’s because unless you choose “ship as items become available” on our order form, multiple item orders are held for shipment until all items are available.

FAQ’S on Gift certificate                       

Do I have to pay extra delivery charges for Gift Certificates No.

Shipping and handling of Gift Certificates is absolutely free.

What if you deliver late: As promised, we will ensure to deliver within 4 to 5 working days but at times we may fail due to forces beyond our control or situations beyond our control. Normally this happens due to incomplete address or also due to the fact the recipient may not be at home and sometimes bad climatic conditions.

Will replace a lost or stolen Gift Certificate: You may please note that Gift Certificates are as good as cash and can be used the same way as cash is used, hence it would not possible to replace them if they have been lost or stolen after being received.

If the value of the purchase is more than the Gift Certificate: You may pay the balance amount and take the delivery of purchase.

If the value of the purchase is less than the gift certificate:  We will issue a credit note for the balance amount, which can be used at a later stage.
