In Hindi, "Mor" means peacock and "dwar" means door. The collection is named after the unique peacock gate in Pritam Niwas Chowk, the inner courtyard of the city's palace. Pritam Nivas Chowk has four smaller gates with each gate representing the four seasons. The peacock gate is one among the four gates and is at the north-east side of the courtyard. The beautifully painted gate acts like sentries at the main gate and represent the autumn season. It is widely believed that "Inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere" and that is so true, when it comes to the inspiration Kalanjali draws, for its different collections and it thus, encourages and appreciates the art of various artisans throughout India. Ajrak is a traditional hand block printing technique and goes through an extensive process of saaj, washing, kasano, khariyanu, kut and much more. The motifs of the collection are inspired from the Peacock gate. The collection truly reflects the beauty of the peacock from the colours and the patterns. The designs and patterns on the garments are made with the help of vegetable dyes and so the colour palette includes blue, maroon, rust, greenish and yellowish shades.
