Bidri, patronized by erstwhile kings of Hyderabad evolved into a major craft during its 500 years of existence, is a standing example of the synthesis of Persian motifs with Indian artistic traditions. The oxidised black surface of an alloy of zinc and copper forms a beautiful background for the designs which are inlaid in shining silver wire.

With its rich variety of design and fascinating form, this craft offers a wide range of articles including boxes, vases, trays, stationary items and even jewellery items. In the recent period the craft has demonstrated a tremendous flexibility of change over to new designs and motifs. At kalanjali you can be sure of innovative design and personalization with logo or any special message.

Warm Regards,
