This Venkatagiri Silk Lemon Yellow Saree is featured with a floral Zari Butta design all over the body. The saree has a silver Zari woven rani pink colour kaddi border and the pallu is enhanced with ‘Mayil’ and floral motifs in silver Zari weaves. In early 1700s, the Venkatagiri Silk sarees known for their fine weaving were produced at an artisan cluster close to Nellore called Venkatagiri. This place was then known as ‘Kali Mili’ and its famous product was patronized by the Velugoti Dynasty of Nellore.
